The Psalmist took time to contemplate the power of God and declared:

For He spoke, and it was done!  Psalm 33:9

Think about that.  God speaks, and it is done!  How powerful is that?  That is why it is critical in the life of a believer in Jesus Christ to trust Him.  To understand that literally one word from God can and will change your life!

When you believe God at His word, you allow Him to fill you with joy and peace?  Don’t believe me?  Here is what Paul wrote to the church at Rome:

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

The last verse I will give you is in Isaiah.  Where through the prophet, God Himself nearly begs us as His children to remind Him of his promises.

Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together;
State your cause, that you may be proved right.  Isaiah 43:26

So take time tonight to find out what God says about your situation in His word.  Then stand strong, remind God of his promise and joy and peace can then flow in your life when you contemplate the power of God!
